Getting Started

What is Ardents Social?

Ardents Social is an app for sharing photos and videos that last 24 hours (Transmissions) and talking in group chats by interest (Ardent Groups). Private conversations are in the Ignite tab.

Who can join?

Anyone 18 or older. Singles and couples are both welcome, and couples can share one profile.

Do I have to verify?

You can look around right away. Verification unlocks the social parts: posting Transmissions to the public feed, joining and posting in Groups, and sending messages. You record a five-second selfie video, and our team reviews it.

Transmissions

What are Transmissions?

Photos and videos (up to 15 seconds) that stay live for 24 hours and then disappear. Swipe up through the feed to see what everyone is sharing today.

Who sees my Transmissions?

The people you're already connected with always see them. Tick "Also share to the public feed" when you post, and everyone in the community can see it too.

Is every Transmission checked?

Yes. Every Transmission is safety-scanned with PhotoDNA and AI screening before anyone else can see it. Until the scan clears, only you can see your post.

How do I react or reply?

Double-tap a Transmission to send a heart, or press and hold for more reactions. To say more, type in the message bar and your reply goes straight to the person who posted it. On your own Transmissions you can see who reacted.

Can I take one down early?

Yes. Open your own Transmission and delete it. It disappears right away.

Ardent Groups

What are Ardent Groups?

Group chats on topics like music festivals, dance nights, camping, food, wine and wellness. You don't need an invite. Join a group to read and post.

Who can read what I post in a Group?

Members of that Group. Join a room to read it and post in it.

Will I get a notification for every message?

No. Groups don't buzz your phone for every message. Unread counts show on the Groups tab and on each room's card, so you can catch up when you want to.

Messages

Where are my messages?

In the Ignite tab. Each conversation is an Ardent Note. Replies to your Transmissions show up there too.

How do messages work for couples?

Automatically. When a couple and a single connect, the conversation includes all three of you. Two couples? All four. No group setup needed.

Couples on Ardents Social

How do we create a couple profile?

One partner creates the couple profile and gets an 8-character invite code. Send it to your partner, they accept, and your shared profile goes live. Both partners need to verify individually for the couple to be verified.

Do both partners see the couple's conversations?

Yes. The couple profile is shared, so conversations on it belong to both of you.

Verification & Safety

How does verification work?

You record a short selfie video, about five seconds, doing a randomized pose we give you. Our team reviews it to confirm you're a real person who matches your photos.

Will other people see my verification video?

Never. Verification videos are private, used only to verify you, and are never shown to other members.

How do I block someone?

From any profile or any conversation. Blocking works both ways: they disappear from your Ardents Social and you disappear from theirs.

How do I report something?

Open the profile, Transmission or conversation and tap Report, then choose a category. Reports go to our own moderation team on the Review Desk, and we aim to review them within 24 hours.

Does Ardents run background checks?

No. Verification confirms someone is a real person who matches their photos; it doesn't vouch for their history. If you meet people from a Group in person, meet somewhere public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your gut. If anything feels off, block and report.

The Gallery (optional)

What is the Gallery?

An optional space inside Ardents Social where singles and couples browse each other's profiles. It's off by default. Choose Join the Gallery to step in, and only people who have joined can see it or appear in it.

How do I leave the Gallery?

Turn it off from your Thermal Signal (your profile) any time. You disappear from the Gallery right away, and the rest of Ardents Social works exactly the same.

Ardent Prime & Purchases

What is Ardent Prime?

Ardent Prime is an optional subscription with extra features. Current features and pricing are always shown in the app before you buy.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iPhone: Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Ardents Social. Important: deleting the app, or even deleting your account, does not cancel an Apple subscription. Always cancel through iPhone Settings. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

Your Account & Privacy

What's the difference between deactivating and deleting my account?

Deactivating hides you from everyone, and you can come back any time just by logging in. Deleting is permanent: your profile, photos, Transmissions and conversations are removed for good. See Delete Your Account.

Can other people see my exact location?

No. Your exact location is never shown to other members.
